Cat Swartz is a multidisciplinary artist from Northeastern Ohio, where the rhythms of nature and the changing seasons have deeply influenced her work. With family roots from the Appalachians and much of her work rooted in its folklores, with a passion and drive for environmental conservation. Cat's art blends contemporary fantasy, realism, surrealism, mysticism, and narrative storytelling to explore complex themes. Her art often touches on dark subjects, including environmental degradation, speciesism, emotional and physical suffering of all species. Her work is inclusive of the human experience, yet excludes obvious anthropocentric themes. She invites viewers to connect with the natural world and its inhabitants and her mission is to inspire preservation and appreciation for the world we live in for all species.
