Cat Swartz accepted the invitation to explore creating work for group show, Fear and Death Exhibition at Doubting Thomas Gallery. Loss, Near & Complete a wall hung sculpture is in this group show. This is not a show for Halloween ghastly ghosts & ghouls. This show has a deeper & thought provoking layered meaning. Perhaps it may increase the awareness (& dealing with fears) & perhaps it will help with new perspectives of mourning, loss, & fears.
”This show is inspired by the phenomenon, the “Death Café.” These are events that are held all over the country. A death café, is where people get together, talk about death and eat cake as an act of human solidarity as well as an opportunity to grieve, to think and to more deeply understand the topic. “
